1st Alton Manor Scout Group has two Scout Troops, Beaurepaire and Bradelei Troop.
Scouts is for young people aged 10 ½ to 14 years of age and are recognised by their smart green shirts.
Scouts are encouraged to develop their leadership and teamwork skills with many activities revolving around the patrol system. Scouts have the opportunity to complete many challenges, both physical and mental from abseiling to archery and climbing to cooking.
Camping also plays a large part in the Scouting calendar whether it be a night under the stars in make shift shelters or a Winter Camp in Northumbria in early January.
We pride ourselves on providing an adventurous programme with many of our activities being out and about. Some of our activities include hiking, caving, Bell Boating, kayaking, geocaching, archery and rifle shooting.
The Scout Troops also work hard for the community and support such events as “Belper In Bloom”, our Group badge sits proudly in the Belper Memorial Gardens.
Beaurepaire meet at Alton Manor Community Centre on a Thursday evening from 7.15pm until 9pm and Bradelei Troop meet on a Tuesday night from 7:00pm until 8.30pm, also at the Community Centre.
